UK, six months after CEO Jamie Dimon launched the program in the US. The 10-year plan aims to funnel $1.5 trillion in funding to sectors deemed essential to national security, including defense, energy, infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, quantum computing, and AI. JPMorgan will invest $10 billion of its own capital, mainly directed at US companies, with the remainder raised through debt and equity for clients. Chuka Umunna, JPMorgan's global head of corporate governance and sustainable solutions and the initiative's UK lead, said the expansion reflects the acknowledgment that "the US and its allies in the West have become too reliant on unpredictable resources for key industries." Dimon added that "the national and economic security of countries depends on strong, resilient and reliable supply chains and robust critical industries."
