In March, the bank was fined a total of $348M by the Federal Reserve and the Office of the Comptroller of the currency for inadequately monitoring trading activities for market misconduct. In a filing released late Wednesday, JPMorgan ( JPM ) disclosed that it expects to enter a resolution with a third regulator and to pay a civil penalty of $100M. The company said that it had identified certain trading and order data through the CIB was not feeding into its trade surveillance platforms. Since then, it has completed enhancements to the CIB's venue inventory and data completeness controls, and "other remediation is underway." A review of data that was not originally surveilled is nearly complete and hasn't identified any employee misconduct, harm to clients or to the market, JPMorgan ( JPM ) said.
