Mihok is set to start in early July. Clay Robinson and Andrew Spicehandler, the co-heads of North America banks coverage at JPMorgan, will serve as Mihok's supervisors in the new position, the spokesperson said. The hire expands JPMorgan's financial institutions group. Among the transactions tied to the group's recent activity, JPMorgan advised on the £9.9 billion ($13.4 billion) deal in which Nuveen is acquiring Schroders, a move that marks the end of more than two centuries of independence for the storied London-based firm, the spokesperson said. The hire comes as JPMorgan has been posting strong dealmaking results . In the first quarter of 2026, the bank generated $2.88 billion in investment banking fees — a 28% year-over-year gain driven by mergers advisory and equity underwriting activity, making it the top-ranked bank globally in that category for the quarter.
