The proposals are for its existing Chaseside campus in Bournemouth, which currently employs about 5,300 people, making it one of the area's largest private-sector employers. The new building would provide 200,000 sq ft (60,960 sq m) of purpose-built office space for about 1,600 staff. According to the application documents, the ground floor would include food and drink facilities for employees and flexible spaces for training or larger auditorium events. A new pedestrian bridge is also proposed, connecting the building to an existing office to make it easier for staff to move around the campus. The banking firm announced in October it was investing £350m into its Bournemouth campus. The project includes a two-storey decked parking structure on part of the existing surface car park. Staff parking is currently located mainly on the south-western side of the site beneath a large solar panel array, with separate contractor and visitor parking elsewhere on campus. The scheme
