Kadmon's KD025 shows positive effect in mid-stage GvHD studyUpdated results from a Phase 2 clinical trial evaluating Kadmon Holdings' (NYSE:KDMN) KD025 in adult patients with chronic graft-vs-host disease (GvHD) showed a treatment benefit. The data are being presented today at the BMT Tandem Meetings in Salt Lake City, UT.Data from Cohort 2 (n=16) showed an overall response rate (ORR) of 69% (n=11/16) as of the data cutoff of January 3. The ORR in Cohort 1 remained 65% (n=11/17). 70% (n=23/33) of patients across both cohorts responded within eight weeks.Responses were observed across all affected organs. In responders with at least four organs involved, 46% (n=6/13) showed responses in at least four organs.64% of patients were able to reduce steroid use with four able to totally discontinue steroid therapy. 83% were able to reduce the dose of tacrolimus (Astellas'PROGRAF).On the safety front, KD025 was well-tolerated with no drug-related serious events observed.Small moleculeKD025 inh
