PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. — Five players earned their 2026 PGA Tour cards after Sunday's final round of the at the TPC Sawgrass Dye's Valley Course. The brief history of the current format for Q-School shows that the odds are heavily stacked against them. Of the 11 players who earned their Tour cards in the 2023 and 2024 Q-School finals, when the Tour adopted the current format, only one has retained his card for the following season: Takumi Kanaya of Japan, who was third in last year's Q-School and finished 99th on this year's points list. Four of the six players who earned cards last year are back at Q-School this year, , Hayden Buckley, and Will Chandler. Another player who got his card, Matthew Riedel, didn't make it past second-stage qualifying. The 2023 Q-School class has had even less success.
