( NYSE:KKR ) is working to secure a $500 million loan that could help finance its acquisition of a majority stake in school operator XCL Education Holdings Pte., according to people familiar with the matter. The proposed financing is said to carry a five-year maturity and an interest margin of about 300 basis points above the Secured Overnight Financing Rate. Banks including BNP Paribas SA, DBS Bank Holdings Ltd., HSBC Holdings Plc, ING Bank and Standard Chartered Plc are leading the financing discussions, though the talks remain ongoing and the final terms could still change.
