The Minnesota-based architectural products company notified the Texas Workforce Commission that 58 positions are expected to be eliminated at its Mesquite location, website says the firm is a leader in designing and installing large-scale building façades, including systems that aim to reduce energy consumption and protect structures from hurricanes and blasts. The Mesquite layoffs occur as the company undergoes a leadership change. On October 31, Apogee announced that Board Chair Donald A. Nolan had been appointed as Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Ty R. Silberhorn.
