WESTBOROUGH, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kopin Corporation (NASDAQ: KOPN) a leading provider of application-specific optical systems and high-performance microdisplays for defense, training, enterprise, industrial, consumer and medical products, today announced it has secured a new $3.6 million purchase order for an advanced avionic helmet-mounted display (“HMD”) system to be integrated into a rotary-wing military aircraft platform for a European defense customer.The HMD system will serve as a critical component of the aircraft’s pilot interface, delivering flight symbology, navigation cues, aircraft status, and weapon-system information directly into the pilot’s line of sight.
