Several Buckeye State employers showed up on Newsweek's list of most trustworthy companies, with dozens of state-headquartered brands earning spots in the ranking. Here are the Ohio companies that ranked among the top brands nationwide. Sherwin-Williams, Goodyear and Kroger lead in Ohio's most trustworthy companies list Of the 700 companies featured, the highest-ranking Ohio companies span a wide range of industries, including retail, food and manufacturing. The list is based on a large national survey and media sentiment analysis conducted with Statista. According to Newsweek, the ranking reflects a widening trust gap among consumers as brand skepticism grows. Columbus and Cincinnati companies dominated the list, together accounting for nearly half of Ohio's ranked companies. Cleveland-based Sherwin-Williams ranked No. 1 in Materials & Chemicals, while Cincinnati-based Kroger ranked No. 2 in Grocery & Convenience Stores.
