According to a police report that TMZ Sports obtained, Nkemdiche was seen leaving a Kroger in Georgia with "many large objects, square and rectangular shapes, consistent with concealed grocery items, inside his sweatpants." According to the officer who noticed, a call was made to bring in some backup as the 296-pound Nkemdiche strolled to a gas station. The report then states that the police officer put the 2016 No. 29 overall NFL draft selection in double-locked handcuffs. The officer said that Nkemdiche did not have any items in his sweatpants at that point. The officer did say, however, that candy bars, almond milk and frozen grocery items were located in the parking lots of the gas station and the Kroger. The police headed to the Kroger and asked if the items were stolen, but the police officer stated that a store representative said they did not want to press charges over the items being stolen.
