Christmas has arrived , and if you need to make a last-minute run to the grocery store to grab an ingredient or a snack, consumers will not have many options this year. Most grocery stores and retail chains will be closed on Dec. 25, as will a majority of restaurant chains Banks, post offices, shipping services , and the stock market will also be closed on the holiday. That includes Kroger, as a company spokesperson confirmed to USA TODAY its family of stores will be closed on Christmas Day. Stores will reopen under their regular hours on Friday, Dec. 26. The Kroger family of companies includes Baker's, City Market, Dillons, Food 4 Less, Foods Co., Fred Meyer, Fry's, Gerbes, Jay C Food Store, King Soopers, Mariano's, Metro Market, Pay-Less Super Markets, Pick'n Save, QFC, Ralphs, Ruler, and Smith's Food and Drug.
