Liberty Star Uranium & Metals Corp. (OTCQB:LBSR) announced that it has staked 13 additional mineral exploration permits covering approximately 11 square miles. The company said the expansion increases its total exploration area to about 45 square miles. The newly staked claims are located within and around the Tombstone Mining District, a historic mining region in southeastern Arizona known for copper and gold production. According to the company, the latest additions follow earlier claims announced on March 10, and complete what it describes as a district-scale consolidation of its exploration position.
