Underperformance mainly resulted from stock selection in the information technology, consumer discretionary and financials sectors. Stronger stock selection in communication services, materials and industrials partially offset these results. There was no significant change to the fund's overall positioning during the quarter as we sought to keep most sector, factor and other macro-related exposures similar to the Russell 1000 Index. The S&P 500 Index returned 8.12% during the quarter. Within the index, the IT and communication services sectors led results as AI remained a dominant theme. The Russell 1000 Index returned 7.99%.
