The businesses that L3Harris is selling to Florida-based Kanders & Company offer a variety of airborne and ground-based antennas and test equipment. They are part of its Space & Airborne Systems segment and employ about 375 people. The consideration entails about $175 million of cash and a $25 million seller note. L3Harris said that the proceeds from the deal would be used consistent with its capital allocation plans. The acquired businesses would be brought under Kanders' newly formed Fisica platform.
