Gecko Robotics landed a $71 million deal with the Navy to use its robots to slash repair time for dated U.S. ships. The U.S. government is learning on more defense tech startups in its latest efforts to reindustrialize America's aging defense systems, including shipbuilding. The company said its robots — capable of flying, swimming, and climbing critical infrastructure — use cameras and sensors to condense a three-month process down to as little as two days.
