Equity markets rose over the quarter, on positive corporate earnings, increased expectations for Federal Reserve (Fed) rate cuts, and artificial intelligence (AI) enthusiasm. A “risk-on,” lower-quality market rally during the quarter resulted in numerous all-time highs achieved. Defense stocks such as L3Harris were strong relative performers, supported by accelerating global spending on defense and military equipment. As always, we remain committed to our focus on quality as we seek out well-managed, profitable companies with low debt levels that we believe are undervalued by the market.
