GATINEAU, Que. — Canada's Competition Bureau has launched an inquiry into Vancouver-based Lululemon following a complaint from members of an environmental group. Stand.earth had asked the bureau to investigate the athletic-wear giant in February, alleging Lululemon is misleading customers about its climate impacts. Article content The group issued a statement early this year saying Lululemon has been using the slogan “Be Planet” as part of its “impact agenda” released in 2020, but the company's own reports reveal a doubling of greenhouse-gas emissions since then. Article content A spokeswoman for the Competition Bureau confirmed Monday that it has launched an investigation into “alleged deceptive marketing practices.” The bureau says there is no conclusion of wrongdoing at this time.
