Chip Wilson is pleased David Mussafer will step away from the Vancouver apparel retailer's board after 14 years but still has qualms about the company's governance. Wilson says the board still has three directors tied to a private equity firm led by Mussafer, who Wilson accused of impeding change at Lululemon, which has struggled to keep up with trends and stop the erosion of its stock price in recent years. Since last year, Wilson has been pushing for three nominees he suggested to join the board but instead Lululemon appointed former Levi Strauss & Co. president and CEO Chip Bergh on Tuesday. Wilson wasn't impressed by Bergh's appointment because he says the new board member led several companies that struggled for years compared to their peers. Lululemon has yet to comment on Wilson's latest criticisms but previously alleged the founder has kept it from interviewing his suggested board members by demanding the company sign a settlement.
