SummaryInvesting in airlines stocks today is not for the faint of heart, but I believe Southwest is a better pick within its peer group.Drawing me to this stock is the company's robust balance sheet and its ability to generate FCF consistently, even through periods of mild distress.I reinforce my conviction that Southwest will likely be the best airline stock to hold, relative to other alternatives in the sector.These are scary times to consider investing in airlines.
