While net sales increased, earnings decreased from the year-ago period's actuals. LW's adjusted earnings were 69 cents per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 67 cents. The decrease of 5% was due to reduced adjusted gross profit, partially offset by decreased adjusted selling, general and administrative (SG&A).
