Although one big corporation has closed an office in the Bay Area, another has opened one. One of the biggest companies in the country is opening a new office across the Bay in Sunnyvale. Walmart announced Thursday it opened its second office in the South Bay city. It joins the office on W. California Avenue. With the opening of the office on 1375 Crossman Ave., Walmart says this celebrates the expansion of the company's West Coast footprint. Walmart has offices in San Bruno, Los Angeles and Bellevue in Washington. The newest Sunnyvale office plans to initially house about 2,000 employees, then bring in more later, Walmart said.
