Shares of Live Nation rose 1.8% after dropping 8% on Thursday. "We expect LYV to vigorously defend itself against this lawsuit," Guggenheim analyst Curry Baker wrote in a note on Thursday. "Our view also remains unchanged that the DOJ does not have a substantive or winnable case (based on precedent and the facts)." The DOJ lawsuit, filed on Thursday , claims that an illegal monopoly on live events pushes prices higher for fans. "One of the biggest talking points out of the DOJ seems to indicate breaking up Live Nation will lower prices for consumers," Baker, who has a buy rating and $128 price target on Live Nation, wrote in the note. "We believe this is false." On Thursday, other Wall Street analysts also expressed some reservations about the lawsuit. Benchmark analyst Matthew Harrigan said the firm is "adamant" that "any targeted unwinding of the 2010 Live Nation/Ticketmaster merger likely has only a remote likelihood under accepted antitrust law," though he's staying wary o
