The Super Bowl has become so much more than just the biggest sporting event in the United States over the years, with its cultural and commercial impact often carrying as much significance for Americans as the final score of the football game. Its international reach has turned the Super Bowl halftime show, and even "The Star-Spangled Banner" before kickoff , into highly-coveted – and heavily scrutinized – performances. There will be another controversial backdrop for this year's Super Bowl performances after Kendrick Lamar's beef with Drake took center stage during the 2025 halftime. The NFL announced Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny , an outspoken critic of United States President Donald Trump , would headline the Super Bowl LX halftime show next month. Trump has criticized the NFL's decision to feature Bad Bunny, who sings in Spanish and previously stopped touring in the U.S. due to the potential presence of ICE agents at his concerts.
