owned federal credit unions in Texas and New Mexico, announced a $300 checking account bonus to provide new and existing members the opportunity to get more value from their everyday checking account. The offer period ends July 31, 2026. GECU was founded in 1932, manages $4.5 billion in assets and serves more than 441,000 members nationwide. "GECU is committed to offering products and services that help our members' money work harder for them," said Leticia Bueno, VP – New Account Relationship Center at GECU. "Empowering members to take control of their financial well-being is an important part of our people helping people philosophy, and we hope members can use this bonus towards their future savings goals." To qualify for this offer , individuals must open a new GECU personal, youth or senior checking account and have qualifying direct deposits of at least $2,000 total within 90 days of account opening. Account holders must also maintain a $500 average daily balance for 90 day
