After Tuesday's close, Mastercard announced that it would raise its quarterly dividend to 66 cents, from 57 cents, a 16% increase. At $411, that would leave the stock with a yield of 0.64%. The company also approved a $11 billion share repurchase plan, which will begin once its current $9 billion plan, which has $3.5 billion remaining, is completed. Mastercard stock has gained 0.6% in after-hours trading Tuesday after ticking up 0.1% during regular market hours. The S&P 500 declined 0.1%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.2%, and the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.3%.
