HHP purchased the asset after buying the Pittsburgh Marriott North in February and the Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center last month. The deal increases the company's portfolio to 19 hotels with more than 5,200 guest rooms and hospitality assets under management exceeding $1.6bn. Including four additional hotels for which it provides third-party asset management on behalf of an institutional ownership group, the company now oversees a total of 23 hospitality properties. Furthermore, HHP has appointed HEI Hotels & Resorts to operate the Westin Poinsett. This marks the second time the two companies have worked together in a management arrangement. Highline stated that it plans to carry out targeted renovations across the hotel over the coming years to support its position in the Greenville hospitality market.
