America's largest retailer warned customers this week that price increases for many products are imminent because, as the company's chief financial officer, John David Rainey, said, the tariffs are “still too high” — even with the recently announced agreement to lower duties on imports from China to 30 percent for 90 days. The president has long insisted that tariffs are a tax on foreign countries.
