Revenue for the burger chain was expected to decrease 5% to $4.7 billion. McDonald's this month said that same-store sales likely fell 3.4% during the first quarter. In March, as the coronaviruspandemic cast a shadow over the global economy and McDonald's switched to takeout-and-delivery model in much of the U.S., same-store sales dropped 22%, with a 13.4% drop in the U.S. Results: McDonald's earnings per share fell to $1.47 a share.
