Related news McDonald's stock fell Thursday, after the burger chain forecast weaker sales trends in April and potentially through the summer, and signaled that full menu service might be slow to return even as the coronavirus lockdown starts to lift in the U.S. and abroad. The company offered up that outlook on its conference call to discus first-quarter results, which missed earnings-per-share estimates but beat Wall Street's expectations for revenue. But as it burns through cash amid a drop in customer demand, McDonald's ( MCD ) said it expects to have negative free cash flow in the second quarter. The chain said it sees free cash flow swinging back into positive territory in the third quarter. McDonald's expects April same-store sales to plunge 20% this month, worse than last month's 13% dive.
