I've attended dozens of driving schools over the years, but only one continues to challenge and educate me each time I participate. The facility is the Bridgestone Winter Driving School, located just outside Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Each year, between mid-December and early March, a farmer's rolling grass field is turned into three pristine ice tracks, with position flags, colorful marker cones, and a heated yurt to serve as a classroom. Bridgestone has taught drivers of all skill levels car control on ice and snow for decades. While the experience is highly educational to participants, it also showcases the manufacturer's impressive winter tire lineup. I initially attended the school in 2009.
