DJT was recently changing hands at $14.13 shortly after the opening bell on Thursday, though shares remain down more than 58% year-to-date. “Trump Media & Technology Group built uncancellable infrastructure to secure free expression online for Americans, and now we're taking a big step forward toward a revolutionary technology that will cement America's global energy dominance for generations,” said Trump Media Chairman and CEO Devin Nunes, in a statement. “This combination positions the combined company to help lead the global AI revolution and kick-start an American energy renaissance,” he added. The deal has been approved by both firm's board of directors, but is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to be completed in mid-2026.
