New York — The first-of-its-kind decision marked a crucial moment of accountability following years of concerns from parents, advocates and whistleblowers. And it's just the beginning. Meta and YouTube — as well as TikTok and Snap, which settled the Los Angeles case ahead of trial — face thousands of lawsuits from other individuals and families, as well as school districts and state attorneys general. Each case, some which are set to go to trial next year, has its differences, but Wednesday's decision could offer hints about what's to come.
