Meta Platforms Inc (NASDAQ:META, XETRA:FB2A, SIX:FB) has signed a multiyear agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to deploy tens of millions of AWS Graviton cores, strengthening its compute capacity for artificial intelligence systems. The rollout will make Meta one of the largest users of AWS Graviton5 chips, which are designed for high-efficiency CPU performance in cloud environments. The chips will support growing demand for processing power tied to agentic AI, systems that can reason, plan, and execute tasks autonomously. Meta said the agreement reflects a shift toward more diversified infrastructure as AI workloads become more CPU-intensive.
