to save customers billions of dollars while supporting a major data center project in northeast Louisiana. Entergy officials said the deal aims to deliver about $2 billion in customer savings over the next 20 years. This amount is in addition to $650 million in previously announced savings, bringing the total expected benefit to about $2.65 billion. The agreement is tied to Meta's planned hyperscale data center in Richland Parish. Meta will cover all the costs for the infrastructure needed for the project. Amazon's $12 billion data center in Louisiana sparks water usage concerns Entergy said the project will also help strengthen the power grid and improve reliability across the state. What the deal includes Meta is also committing millions of dollars toward community and energy programs, including: $120 million for Entergy's “The Power to Care” program. $140 million for energy efficiency efforts aimed at vulnerable customers. Support for carbon-free nuclear energy.
