Last year Conde Nast Traveler ranked it as the sixth most visited U.S. city, while Yahoo Creators ranked it Number One most popular. But there is little doubt that 2025 was a relatively rough year for Las Vegas tourism, with steep drops in visitation, which in turn led to airlines reducing flights and inbound capacity by about 7% for the first quarter of 2026. However, the latest data suggests a reversal in fortunes, an upswing in visits, and that means it is once again time to start talking about what's new in Las Vegas, a perennially popular travel topic. The most recent numbers available, for January 2026, showed just a slight drop, the lowest monthly decline in over a year, suggesting that tourism is finally stabilizing.
