Morgan Healthcare Conference, CEO Robert Davis said the company expects to generate about $50 billion of that total by the early 2030s. The outlook is anchored by 10 major programs that account for roughly 70% of the opportunity, all viewed internally as multibillion-dollar products. Four are already launched or have positive Phase III data, with the rest approaching key readouts over the next 12 to 18 months. According to Reuters , Merck now expects cardiometabolic and respiratory drugs to bring in nearly $20 billion in sales, up from a prior $15 billion forecast, while infectious disease treatments could reach about $15 billion, triple earlier expectations.
