MILWAUKEE, July 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- MGIC Investment Corporation (NYSE: MTG) today reported operating and financial results for the second quarter of 2018. Net income for the quarter was $186.8 million, or $0.49 per diluted share, compared with net income of $118.6 million, or $0.31 per diluted share for the second quarter of 2017.Adjusted net operating income for the second quarter of 2018 was $189.2 million, or $0.49 per diluted share, compared with $119.3 million, or $0.31 per diluted share for the second quarter of 2017. We present the non-GAAP financial measure "Adjusted net operating income" to increase the comparability between periods of our financial results.
