The stock increased 6%, to $20.54, during Tuesday afternoon trading and is on track for its highest close since April 3. Advertisement The Akron, Ohio-based company reported fourth-quarter earnings of $12.5 million, or 34 cents a share, compared with $13.4 million, or 36 cents in the year-ago quarter. Adjusted for certain one-time items, Myers Industries reported earnings of 29 cents a share compared with 32 cents a share a year ago. Analysts expected 27 cents a share. Fourth-quarter revenue decreased to $191.1 million from $212.8 million year over year. Analysts expected $196.2 million. For fiscal 2024, Myers anticipates net sales growth between 15% and 20% from $813.1 million in 2023, a 9.6% drop from the prior year.
