Getty At least 100,000 student loan borrowers who were steered into forbearance—a temporary pause or reduction in loan payments—by Navient in 2017 or earlier could be getting a check in the mail as a result of the settlement between the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the lender in the upcoming weeks.
