Stocks rose Wednday amid hope that the number of new coronavirus cas is starting to decline.The Dow was up more than 00 points, or 0.9%, while the S&P 500 climbed 0.6% and the Nasdaq advanced 0.7%.In the U.S., the number of daily increas in coronavirus cas has fall since Friday, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. Daily increas in global cas have also fall since th.“If the curve is bding, for the first time, some time-line is coming into focus for rtarting at least parts of the economy,” said Jim Pauls, chief invtmt strategist at the Leuthold Group. “This means invtors can start to reduce their bt gus as to how long this recsion will last and ev if the recsion is very deep, if its duration can be shorted and known with some greater clarity, this would td to raise the value of the stock market.”Stocks prsured by the coronavirus outbreak rose in the premarket.
