NDSN reported an uptick in costs and expenses during the third quarter of fiscal 2025 (ended July 2025). The company's cost of sales increased 14.5% year over year in the fiscal third quarter. The metric as a percentage of total revenues rose 100 basis points to 45.2%. In the same period, the selling and administrative (SG&A) expenses grew 2.3% year over year. Key factors behind the company's high SG&A expenses included rising acquisition costs and amortization expenses. Despite the rising costs, NDSN's EBITDA margin increased 70 basis points year over year to 32% in the fiscal third quarter. The improvement in margin was driven by increased sales for electronic processing and optical sensors, as well as electronics dispensing product lines within the Advanced Technology Solutions segment.
