The Artemis II mission launched on April 1 from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida and is already halfway through its journey, with it set to end just off the coast of California. Four astronauts boarded the Orion spacecraft to take part in a 10-day mission to go further into space than anyone has ever traveled. While the crew will not touchdown on the moon, the craft is set to fly past the dark side of the moon on April 6, and the four will be the first humans to ever set eyes on it. "The astronauts will take high resolution photographs and provide their own observations of the lunar surface, including areas of the far side of the Moon never seen directly by humans,” according to NASA. The space mission is just the first of several that will take place over the coming years, culminating in humans once again setting foot on the moon and establishing a lunar base. “ Artemis II is the start of something bigger than any one mission,” NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman said in
