The streaming platform announced a price increase that started on March 26. The last time Netflix raised prices for subscriptions was January 2025 , shortly after it had experienced some of the biggest growth in a quarter Netflix had ever seen (the platform had just gained 19 million subscribers). The current price hike comes day after Netflix delivered MLB's Opening Day game between the New York Yankees and the San Francisco Giants. "We know members have never had more choices in entertainment and we're committed to delivering an experience that meets and exceeds their expectations," Netflix said in a statement to USA TODAY.
