Military complex Re “Ottawa, stop trying to use military spending to juice the economy. It doesn't work” (Report on Business, Nov. 10): Canada does have a shaky history of military procurement, but at this moment in history, Canada requires a stronger military. The economic impact should be largely irrelevant. Sometimes a military buildup is just a military buildup. We seem to be proposing tactical solutions to incoherent strategies. Before firing in all directions, a threat assessment should be in order to develop policies to drive strategies. Are threats coming from the East, North, West, South or all of the above?
