Both 10- and 30-year Treasury yields climbed at least three basis points in Asia after trading in the securities was closed Monday due to a US holiday. President Donald Trump's plan to impose levies on selected European nations as part of a bid to acquire Greenland has revived questions about the unpredictability of his administration's policies. Most Read from Bloomberg Bonds also fell in Japan, with the 40-year yield rising to 4% for the first time since the securities were introduced in 2007. Traders are awaiting an auction of Japanese 20-year debt, a day after long-end yields jumped to multi-year highs due to the government's plans for tax relief on food. Australian and New Zealand bonds also fell, while German bund futures also declined. “The long end of the global sovereign curves feels fragile,” said Andrew Ticehurst, senior rates strategist at Nomura Australia Ltd.
