the third quarter of 2025, compared with GAAP net income of $2.4 million, or $0.07 per share, for the same period a year ago. Net income, excluding derivative market value adjustments , was $107.3 million, or $2.95 per share, for the third quarter of 2025, compared with $12.4 million, or $0.34 per share, for the same period in 2024. The third quarter 2025 operating results included the following items: Non-recurring revenue of $32.9 million ($25.0 million after tax or $0.69 per share) from the company's government servicing contract. Upon reaching a final agreement with the Department of Education, the company recognized revenue on a contract modification for services previously performed. A gain of $30.2 million ($23.0 million after tax or $0.63 per share) related to a partial redemption and increase in the remaining carrying value on a venture capital investment.
