Nissan Motor on Monday revised up its fiscal 2025 outlook, forecasting a narrower net loss and a return to operating profit. For the fiscal year that ended March 31, the Japanese automaker now expects a net loss attributable to shareholders of 550 billion yen ($3.4 billion), or 157.42 yen per share, compared with a previous estimate of a 650 billion yen loss, or 186.04 yen per share. Nissan also raised its net sales forecast to 12 trillion yen from 11.9 trillion yen. The company said it now anticipates an operating profit of 50 billion yen, reversing an earlier forecast in February for a 60 billion yen operating loss. "The improvement mainly reflects a one time positive impact from changes to US emissions regulations, along with ongoing cost reductions and favorable foreign exchange effects," a statement said.
