The investment bank noted that NanoString is embroiled in ongoing litigation involving its CosMx and GeoMx products. Earlier this month, a federal court ruled that NanoSpring's GeoMx products infringed on seven patents exclusively licensed to 10x Genomics ( TXG ) and owned by Prognosys. 10x Genomics has also sued NanoString in the US and Europe, alleging patent infringement by NanoString's CosMx for RNA detection. JP Morgan said that while it remained bullish on the spatial market in general, it was downgrading NanoString due to ongoing litigation that adds “incremental layers of uncertainty.” The bank also withdrew its 2024 price target on the stock.
