Rajiv Ramaswami, President, CEO & Director, stated that "in our first quarter, we saw solid demand for our solutions with bookings that were slightly ahead of our expectations and continued progress with our partners." He added that "the solid performance Quick Insights Nutanix reduced revenue guidance due to timing shifts in revenue recognition, as more deals had start dates outside the quarter and a larger portion of business was processed through OEM partners, not because of reduced demand or bookings. Management maintains that demand, bookings growth, and free cash flow trajectory remain strong, attributing guidance changes to timing issues rather than a weakening in business fundamentals. Risks include supply chain tightness that could delay OEM partner shipments, customer preferences causing later revenue recognition, and resulting challenges with accurately forecasting growth due to the evolving timing of revenue conversion.
